For Valerie, costume design is above all a vision: the vision of bringing an entire universe to life and revealing its full power. For more than twenty-five years, she has worked hand in hand with writers, directors, actors, and project designers to push their imaginations further and to give each character a vivid, distinct, and unforgettable identity.

After studying art history, she experienced a decisive aesthetic revelation when she entered theatre school: the costume is a driving force of the story. A costume is never just a garment, it is a silent narrative. A carefully crafted construction in which materials, colors, proportions, and patina reveal a facet of the character… or deliberately conceal it. Nothing is left to chance; everything is designed to serve the strength of the story.
